    I'm just taking it ouuUuuUUuut...
Update on the life of Gary: I've been slated in work for stating my (imho) very valid opinion that a certain small goat-voiced singer has enraged me to the very great extent that I'd not have any problem raping him. *shrug*

    oooh, nudge me, would you?
I am writing this, initially because Jonneh gave me a cheeky nudge, but ultimately to complain about some injustices in the world too.

    First off:

    PLAY.COM WII TROBULERS?

Why the hell did we think it would be a good idea to try and get a Wii from play.com?
even though we got in quick... apparently they sold out of stocks in 1.5 hours. and we wern't THAT quick. So nutsacks, no Wii for us. ¬.¬

    Second off:

Oooh, nuu... I've forgotten what 2 was. Uuuhh...oh yeh!
DAMN WoW patches! >.< I know it needs to happen, but dammit! I was all psyched up to crawl inside my little gnome, and i was verilly thwarted! Ack, see, i've started using words like 'verilly' and i can't put them to any good use! Also, damn the server system! My fave characters on Argent, and Danes there too along with some Norweigen people I've befriended, but everyone else i wanna play with is on Hammer. nuu... I don't play enough to split the time particularly fairly...hmnnn...

um...oh yeh, my ports too! apparently theres a firewall on, which we deffinatly don't have at all. slowing down the connection like nobodoed buisiness though. gneer!

uuh...what else...oh yeh! Pokemon release date! I wanted it for Christmas, but nuuuu, that'd be too much fun, eh? too good? too wholly excitable? so I have to wait for... oh, i dunno, a year? maybe three? 12? 69? GAH!

Finally, the new .Hack game! well, i say new, Japans had it for abooout...a year? and America.... half a year? will we ever get a release? cause the last games did really badly. but if i get the american version, i cant import my really high game characters and get loads of hoopy stuff from the old series!!

    ARGHHHH!

*has a fit and fall over*

    I'M BLAZING!

Like a... bush, I guess. So yeh, bit of a whine there. but this should herald the return of me to the land of Lj, so woo!

I'm feeling very ill at the mo, I've consumed some things which I feel in hindsight, were not to be consumed. Don't you hate it when you try to vomiiiit but theres nothing inside, and bile is presented instead?

    Heya all,

Getting more capitalist by the second!

Have aquired Franz Ferdinands new album, (which is teh godspank, btw) and also the collectors edition of Black and White 2!

I didn't intend to get it yet, but I saw it on the 8th, looking all shiny (and a bit wrinkled, actually) and decided we'd have it get it. This was to tide me over until my birthday, when I would be able to open NINTENDOGS which Jess has purchased for me! :D

    So it's all very buyey!

    Pokemon and Depeche Mode
It's a long overdue update, woo!

The main reasons I haven't been posting as much is that if you remember, I used to make posts in the work canteen at lunchtime. Due to the majesty and addictive properties of Pokemon, I've been doing that for my free hour ¬.¬. It vey good. The DS is suuuperb, however I did get a bit of a problem with dead pixels. stoopid things.

Secondly, don't know if you've seen the video of the new depeche mode song 'Precious', but it's storming! Really really good, I love the song anyway. (Always had a bit of a soft spot for them since Enjoy the Silence)

So yeah, theres these really cool fish and sea-creatures, they look kinda squiddy-matrixy, and kinda like those bug-art cards you can get, WELL worth a look :)

For interests sake, the producer also made the video to Franz Ferdinands 'Michael', Depeche Modes Enjoy the Silence 2004 remix and the SUPERB video to the new Rammstein single, BENZIN!

Anywho, go here and watch them all :)

    Go for it!

Judgement Day! *doom doom dooom de doooom*
Today's the day The Gas make good!

After messing my pay up for another month, a cash advance was agreed by the WHOLE LEADER OF THE BUILDING to get me my £900.00 by FRIDAY. TODAY. And what can I say? I went to the cash point and sure enough, theres LOADS of money! Blimey!

I now need to total up exactly how much we've spent on my credit card, how much I'm giving to Jess to pay off some of hubungous debt, and how much is left. I'll do that tonight, I recon. I'm also gonna tidy the house lots for Jess' re-entry tomorrow night! Also planning a possible treat, but will depend on booking availability. I'll sort that tonight too. ;)

So yeh, The Gas seem to have got it sorted, after a whole load of whining.

    Only one question remains.

DS OR PSP, OR NEITHER, DO I REALLY NEED ONE?

Pay Rise? Not on your life!
For bloody hells sake, I got my payslip through recently, HR STILL haven't fixed my pay?! I'm being paid loads less, per month, to do harder work?! And they still haven't fixed it! WTF!?

I'm fuuuming, so I called them today. They're really nice to talk to, really polite and lovely. Doesn't mean they're any less incompetant though.

They advised me that I HAVE been put on the new payscale, as of 1 October. Sounds fine, eh? Why didn't my payslip show that then? Because it's been set to 1 October... 2005?!!? I've been up here for a year already!

I'VE MISSED OUT ON A YEARS WORTH OF INCREASED PAY!

    GRRR!

Apparently they're going to get someone to look into it today, and call me tomorrow. Yeh, you're damn right you're going to call me tomorrow. f*ckers.

OMG! British Gas Price Rise?! ARE YOU MAD?!
It's that time of year again, and price rises within the Gas means loads of extra work for me! It's an extra 14.2% on gas and ele this time, which is possibly the most steep climbs I've ever seen.. Saying that though to be fair, the worldwide energy market is royally screwed at the mo, so it's to be expected, really.

I noticed that the BBC news website report actually wasn't so harsh on us, they thought it was a fair point...

I do wonder what the response tomorrow will be in the papers though...

The Mail... The Mirror... They really don't like us much anyway...
Oh, and of course energywatch will have their say as well...

    Let the circus begin!

    Work: Redux
Well it's day 1 of new plan, heres what I actually did this morning:

1: got up at 8.00. Not really any earlier than previously, but this will become my regular get up time now. try and get some routine going.

2: Drank nice cup of Lady Gray. She's a nice companion in the morning. went well with...

3: Ate breakfast in first time for two years. 2 Slices of toast and some yummeh Lemon and Lime Edelamram. Mnn...preserves.

4: Listened to inspiring Naruto themes on way to work. Even that 'little by little' Op. theme, squealy woman one, that I don't normally tolerate. Ima Made Nandomo hit the spot, I was almost cryin' in the road.

In all, I did actally feel better this morning when I got to work. Felt more perky and alert. Was deff. more sociable, and said hello to more people than usual. I don't know if its just a placebo all-in-my-head thing, but really, does it make any difference if it is, if it's bringing results?

    Will keep you posted!

    Work... F*CK!
    ARGHHH!

After the shenanigans with me not being paid enough money at work (thanks for working that one out Jess!)
I've been trying to achieve something called 'spot pay' this means you have to be working above your targets for 3 months, and then get paid more to do the same work. So it's just a small pay rise really. It's a small rise I'd quite like, though. I've been doing ok recently, 2 months down, everything was going ok, but then today, BOMBSHELL.

4 pieces of our work get checked for quality every month, and I just got a zero score. which means I did something catastrophically wrong. NOOOO! I could almost see a little imp run up to me, grab the spot pay, and run off with it, chittering slightly. The reason I failed the check was that it was my first call, on a Monday morning. Not my best time. I buggered up royally, didn't help the customer at all and let it wash right over me like an idiot. She might have well spoken to a banana for all the good I did.
    Action needs to be taken.

Everyone on the floor says I'm a right miserable git in the mornings. I'm always hella tired, bit slouchy, not really on the ball. This needs to change if I'm going to be paid more and finally clear all of my debts to Jess! The action plan is thus:

1: Start eating breakfast. Ok so not eatng saves a small amount of money and time, but food might just perk me up a bit.

2: Walk new way to work. It's slightly longer, but The Avenue has many more trees, and might cheer me up a bit.

3: Listen to inspiring, wakey-uppey music in the morning. Currently it's either Rammstein or System in the mornings, bit too angry.

4: Get up a bit earlier, at a regular time. Spending a bit more time waking up gracefully every morning might make me a bit more sociable so early.

So we'll see how it goes, eh?

Can't believe I buggered up Spot though...don't know if I deserve Black and White 2 now...

Doshin the Giant and Forbidden Siren Review!
    Heya All!

Thought since I'm preeety bored on lunch at work, I'd spout my opinions about the new purchases we recently made!

    First up: Doshin the Giant.

Despite having a name that sounds a biiit too much like the Japanese word for filthy books for my liking, the game is actualy surprisingly wholesome. Possibly because it seems to have been made for 5 year olds. It's a bit similar to Black and White, but has more simple and structured aims, unlike aforementioned B&W. (I love that game too, mind you)

In Doshin, You play a big yellow giant, whos kinda similar to the creature of the Black and White games. But big and yellow. Every night you dissapear, and every morning you are reborn, hurrah! You start with an island, 4 colonies. Red, Blue Yellow and Green. By helping them to grow, supplying trees and levelling the land, they build bigger and bigger buildings until eventually they are happy to build a 'Monument' These are rather simple though kinda quaint buildings, initially like an obelisk, or maybe a stonehenge. Quite simple. You first need to get a monument in every one of the initial four colonies, then you have to interbreed the colours, and get those people to set up their own individual colonies, each of which needs to build a further monument!

All together, theres a total of 16 monuments you need to build, and then you stop respawning every day, the big yellow giant is presumably no more! nooo!! *sniff* We've currently built.. *counts* about 10 of them... including a big one that looks quite a lot like a poopular. mmnn...poopy.

Which in no way links me to my next game review, Forbidden Siren!

This is the first stealthy game I've actually played myself, having seen someone play MGS ages ago. You play as 6 different characters throughout the game. Each mission you do will be involving one or two of the characters, at some time in a given 3 day period. the missions are all jumbled up though, so you have to try really hard to piece together the linear storyline.

All the characters have the unusual ability to Sightjack, which is the process of fiddling with the d-pad on a static screen until you manage to see through the eyes of one of your enemies. it's very clever, you can see through all of the enemies on the stage you're on. only problem is when sightjacking you're completely vulnerable, and zombies often run up to you and lump you.

The enemies are wierd zombie things that make VERY scary noises. Not your usual zombie groans, no sir-ee! You only usually get three or so in a level, but since they can't be killed and keep getting up after about 5 game minutes, you don't need any more of them! weapons vary depending on what you can find for all of the characters, theres a worrying lack of guns. Most characters either have no weapon or rely on Monkey Wrenches, Poles etc.

The game is very claustrophobic, very scary and very atmospheric. It's not as scary mentally as Project Zero, but is a different kind of scare. Project Zero was disturbing and psychological, not too relentless. Siren forces you to run along at it's own pace, the zombies get up behind you relatively quickly so you always have to look behind you, Sightjacking akes you HELLA paranoid because you can see where the enemies are and hw close they are. We've played it for ages and still have hardly any idea what the plot is!

Both games vey good. Right, I need food.

    New purchases
    Hello all,

We are now the proud owners of a shiny new 28" tv, a dvd recorder, and a few new games, woo!!

Doshin the Giant, actually a lot of fun, despite looking like a Black and White rip off for 5 year olds. Forbidden Siren is a mega hard cross between Silent Hill, Metal Gear Solid and...something else. I haven't got much experience with stealthy games, so I'm finding it a biiit hard.

Ooh, I notice that cosplay uk is in dire straits, noo :( doubt they'll make the donation money required tho. cosplay fans way too cheap. ¬.¬

I've been trying to Dl the op theme from Silent Hill 3, damn love that song...

Finally, before I go to work,
*starts humming Eurithmics 'must have been talking to an angel' but with the words*

    Meat...
...Is what I've just eaten. Apparently it was lamb...I doubt that very much. Adding peppercorns to a meat shaped thing does not make it lamb. Neither does adding mint. Yummy. Night alone from Jess went ok, except that I failed to find the clown p0rn I was hoping for, and I didn't manage to sleep very well. Don't know if it as my romanticism, or if I was possibly too hot. Not sure. Either way, I shall welcome Jess home later :)

Argh, Jess has gone back to her moms house for the night, leaving me totally alone in the house!
What shall I eat? When shall I go to bed? How shall I clean up the mess I make? Should I start work on cosplayage?

    So many questions, nuuu!

    >.<

I reckon I'll probably start on cosplayage...but that's for another post!

First ever post for mee?! Blimey!
    Heya all!

This is my first post on my first journal, which I'm intnding to use as a document for recording the weird and wonderful world of work I work in...and if you can follow that, all the better!

I'll keep this post short and sweet as I have to get back in a second (I'm on my lunch break)

Wanted to start off with a bit of toilet humour. (Well, there wasn't much funny about it, actually) When I got into work today I ran to the lavvy as usual and there was the most god awful mess I've ever seen. It wwas like someones ass and sphincter actually exploded. Crapspray wasn't the word for it, it looked like some medical experiment gone wrong. *shudder* i steered WELL clear of that pan of doooooom!

On a more pleasant note, we're having a new sofa delivered very soon! Kazunoko is at home as we speak, waiting eagerly. Will update on the full majesty soon.

Ooh, I had to talk to a guy today who sounded JUST like the newspaper stall owner from League of Gentlemen. Scary Russian dude. Horrid. Thanks for throwing him at me, BBC Radio 3.

Anyway, will post again soon, sorry this one was a little crappy ;)

    Current Mood: busy
Current Music: Nothing. Im at work. *shudder*
